No one knows where they came from. They appeared and started the war. We proudly present you a fighter of an alien race, known under several names: Fowlers, Fowers or Fourth Species. However, what is most important is that the Fowler fighters are very maneuverable, robust and armed with a wide array of energy weapons. When they come, you should just retreat! Here is the sample of Starter Box, with Fowlers . Class A ("Bolt")   Class B ("Claw")     You can also check our gallery for more. Painted by Ed Smith from Cap'n Ed's 'Mech Hangar....

Not all humans are happy citizens of Federated Systems commonality. Many distant and remote colonies don't feel obliged to pay taxes to interstellar government, getting too little or nothing in return. Especially now, when Federated Systems are engaged in strange war with mysterious Fowlers, secessionist movement is strong on the outer rims of human space. On the other hand, piracy becomes stronger every year FS Fleet is engaged in Fowler War. Here is the sample of Starter Box II, of infamous Hydran Corsairs 'yeagers. Evolution 6 Raider   Blackbuck Mk. II     Loot Wagon (FSCS 4 GS) You can also check our gallery for more. Phoenix 502

Phoenix 502

Here it is! The new version of advanced stratoyager, the STF-502 Phoenix, know also as just 502. The new version is reacher in detail, and has less platelike shape of wings. Now you can appreciate more agressive look of the fighter. Model will be in a one piece and will not need assembling. When in the year 2224 the Foulers again became a threat, the Star Fleet Command decided to introduce a new fighter to the field. This time it was supposed to be a universal unit, but mainly focused on fighting in space, and the ability to fight in the atmosphere was to be secondary, albeit important. So in 2227 Phoenix was created. You can read more HERE  ...

Game Mechanics #2 – Initiative

Hello again! Recently we talked about stat card and it's components. This time we want to show you a bit different way of looking at initiative, at least in comparison to other wargames. DESIGNER NOTES When we started our adventure with Stratoyager, we were very "traditional" about initiative. You know - I move, you move, I move, you move. Then you shoot, I shoot. Etc. And some more or less random way of determining who goes first. We also added some form of orders phase at the begining of each turn, just to be even more traditional and emulate "simultaneous" actions with "no backsies" policy. Then  we started play test games. Game Mechanics #1 – Stat Cards

Today we are going to take a closer look at stratoyager's stats card, used in the game. Each fighter miniature on the table have one of those assigned to track status changes, damage, current shields power, speed and changes in missile payload. They are also helpful as a quick refference for combat. Cards will be made in format and quality of gaming cards, although we are also considering carboard tiles. Below you can see mockup of a page describing stats card. Let's take a look: Let's discuss them in detail, starting from the top: MODEL AND VARIANT - Not much can be added here. This area provides model of chosen yager, as well as it's variant designation. Each fighter will have 2 or more cofigurations available, there are going to be special and unique flyers with own stats. Example: Our sample stratoyager's type designation is Guardian 150, in E configuration.  IMAGE RECOGNITION DISPLAY - this part gives us image of the fighter. Mostly for ease of play. UPGRADES...

Vulture Mk III

Vulture Mk III

After long wait, the time has come to update our models. Richer in detail, and up to date with visual approach. Please welcome new heavy support, double-seater stratoyager, STF-HF12 Vulture Mk III! Design is similar to the older brother, but wings geometry is far more aggressive and the turret is now more compact, equipped with short, double-barrel cannon. The whole hull now has better proportions and looks heavier, as the Vulture should look like. Model is going to consist of two pieces (one for the body and second one for ventral turret) and will require assembly. When the STF-100 Sentinel reingned in the space, and when its successor, the Guardian, was still on holo drawing boards, colonial troopers were sheltered by broad wings of a STF-HF10 Vulture, first in line of heavy support 'yagers. Latest version of it, Vulture MK III or STF-HF12 is still in active service of System Federation Forces. You can read more HERE...
